Why Choosing the right ribbon is important

Thermal transfer printers are susceptible to damage from using incorrect types of ribbon.

For example, the composition and thickness of black coating, which is required by modern printer heads, is critical. It will have a significant effect on print quality and print head life.

General Purpose Color Wax Ribbons

A complete line of wax ribbons is available for all of your general purpose applications. Excellent print quality at high speeds. Recommended Media: Coated and uncoated paper, tag, label stock and poly bags.

Specialty Color Resin Ribbons
Our specialty color ribbons contain a unique UV resistant formula which can eliminate the need for lamination for outdoor applications. Ideal for outdoor/vinyl applications, but also performs well in harsh environment applications.

Recommended Media: Polypropylene, vinyl, and some polyester films.

Premium Color Wax/Resin Ribbons
